So I actually woke up today at a reasonable hour (10:30 AM). It's good to get an early start on the day. I had a lot of plans for the day (which I spent much time thinking about with no real action). I listened to Rush Limbaugh to see what spin he'd put on the DNC. He spent a lot of time talking about how he wasn't going to talk about Moore, claiming that he didn't want to give another fat windbag any publicity (odd, I thought, he's been talking about Fahrenheit 9/11 since it came out!). He also went on a tirade about how O'Reilly didn't do a very good job interviewing Moore since the interview spent too much time talking about "sending our kids to die in Iraq." Since he didn't actually watch the interview, I'll give him a slight leeway. Moore's point was NOT that MonkeyBoy is sending "kids" to die in Iraq, his point was that MonkeyBoy was sending "kids" to die in Iraq BASED ON A LIE! Just thought it was worth mentioning the spin that is put on the issues by this drug addicted pus bag. I also got quite a kick out of his statements that Edwards and Kerry are spending too much time talking about Kerry's war record. I believe that he said something like "It's not the 60's where the drug taking, dirty, hippie, left-leaning liberals..." Whatever. I think he should watch his words when talking about drug addicted groups. He's one of the "new" drug addled groups in this new age. At least he's entertaining.

It's also interesting to see that so many right-wing radio talk shows flood the airwaves here in an area that is "Kerry country." I guess it just shows you who runs the radio stations.

I went out to pick up some beer just a little while ago (one of the many things I needed to do). On the way back, I ran into an older guy thumbing a ride. Odd, I've never seen someone hitchhiking in this area. No one would ever pick anyone up around here, it's not a "help your neighbor" type of town. It's more like a "don't bother me, and I won't bother you" type town. So I stopped to give him a ride. He wasn't going too far out of my way so I brought him to his destination while he listened to me rant about politics and the state of the country. I'm not sure if he cared to listen to me, but at least for the 10 minutes where he was under my control, he'd have to listen to me.

Feel free to rant all you want on here, not enough people do. I think many people in this country have gone into a mass sleepwalking state. With all the crap shows that the media is throwing us, it's too difficult for the less-intelligent folk to discern the difference between a "reality" show and what is really happening in this country.
