Today I'll be going to another Red Sox game in Boston. I somehow convinced my
sister to pay for the next two games I go to as a birthday present. Thanks Sis!!
I'll be sitting five rows from the field right where the foul line meets the
right field. At least these seats are a lot better than the ones I had on
Wednesday (but thank you to the people that left four open seats right near
first base for me to grab!). Last night the Sox took the game fairly easily so
I'm hoping tomorrow will be a good game. Lowe is pitching so it may be a rough
ride. I'll have fun either way. This time out it's just Kevin (who runs
bosox1.com) and I. Give his
site a few hits, he really is a good sports writer and he's a bit dismayed that
no one goes to his site (well, not many people). I don't think he realizes that
it takes years to get a decent web site up and running.
I've gotten a TON of hits from the Netherlands and Belgium in the last few
days (about 250,000 hits yesterday). WELCOME!!! This is the first week that some
country other than the USA has topped the hit list! Spain was pretty close when
I was the first website to air the Janet Jackson tit photos. I've also gotten a
significant increase in the number of hits from government and military IP
addresses. They must have me on some list now. I hope you guys enjoy the fun!
Also showing up in the logs are countries that I had no idea existed:
Niue. It's great to read
the logs of people that visit this site and see so many different places from
all over the world even though I only write in English. I hope you all at least
can enjoy the same humor that I do. This site is watched by about 50-75
countries a month, it's always a surprise to read the logs. Thanks everyone for
visiting the site, remember to leave a tip in the tip jar as you leave, one buck
I'm working on some very long winded articles about the election process
(since many people I know don't know how it works in the US) and the candidates.
I'm also working on a piece explaining my view on the erosion of rights in a
society that has been labeled (by the people destroying it) as the "beacon of
freedom" for the world. I'll have these up in a week or so. In the meantime, my
work search is continuing, I've had some promising leads, some offers for part
time work that may pan out, and much help from my friends. Thanks for the
hamburgers Heather, they got me through a week.
