"Note, a majority of these protesters were either French or Islamists. French Canadians for the most part refused to fight the Nazis in World War II and it was American blood and English Canadian blood that was spilled to liberate France."

What a flippin heap of lies and unchecked claims in one sentence ... guess assholes can be found everywhere.

Indeed. I was watching NWI (newsworld international) last night. Most of what they air is CBC. Those people there were just your average canadians excercising their rights. They weren't bused in extremist. I'd love to see proof of that!

Personally, I wish I could have been there.

I was embarassed yesterday when I heard Bush very arrogantly stand in front of the Canadians and lecture them on trade. He told them that we are important trading partners. The US exports 23% of it's goods to Canada, while Canada exports 80% of theirs to the US. He couldn't just have left it at the first part and acknowledge that Canada really kind of got screwed with their pants on by NAFTA. He very clearly articulated those numbers. The message: Dry up; you need us more than we need you. Some way to mend fences, huh?

Alice Wrote the following on 12/01/2004 4:11 PM :
Doesn't surprise me. Bush has no respect for anyone outside of the US. And for only a limited few within the US.

Quebec is full of French-speaking Communists and Muslim thugs. I agree with Bush. Once you get to Nova Scotia or Alberta the population returns to normal.

Nony Wrote the following on 12/01/2004 4:34 PM :
Fine, if it makes you happy not to have a single original thought...good for you Bush does not have many complicated thoughts either, so it does not stress your brain to agree with him. Nothing like black and white vision, if it is't black it got to be while. Takes a lot of strain out of the thinking process. Problem with you guys is that if it is 99.9% white you still say, look 0.1% Black, See, it must be black.

TylerD - NeoCon writes "over the top" comments to piss people off a bit, even he knows that his comments are a bit stupid. He's doing it to be humorous, not really to incite. I'm responding for him now because I know he only posts from work.

no translation needed:

"Our belief is to allow us to better include and understand the world (the people) in which we live"

I have to say that the majority of the USA view Canadiens with respect, we not only respect your mixed culture, and your ability to create a government controlled health care system, we also value you as an ally.

However, we also know that your country is working with a very small population compared with the USA. Your ideas are not transferrable to the US.

It's a shame that Bush had to use his trip to Canada to spank the Canidien people with the fact that you rely on us for your exports. Yes, that's true, but it was in bad taste. It was done as a slap to the face for your non-support of the war in Iraq.

Alice Wrote the following on 12/01/2004 11:53 PM :
That kinda knocks me out, as there are canadian troops in iraq .. not many, but there are some.

I live in Canada, and I love visiting Montreal :)

But I do know that there are Many muslims in Quebec, and thus I would not be surprised if many french (muslims) participated in the rally...

Not that thats a bad thing, anyone can protest what ever they want as long as they are peaceful :)

NeoCon, now that I know you have some internet outside of work, I'll stop defending your posts, I really don't want to, that's your job.

codewolf Wrote the following on 12/02/2004 00:46 AM :
I do have to say that Montreal is one of my most favorite places to visit. That is one fucking great city! It's like going to Boston but with more fun people! Not to dis Boston, that's a great place to go as well, but Montreal has so many great places to visit, it's just fucking fun and enjoyable.

French-speaking women. French-speaking women dancers. French-speaking strippers dancing around a poll. Drunk French-speaking strrippers doing a lap dance. How much does it cost to fly to Montreal?

codewolf Wrote the following on 12/02/2004 1:43 PM :
Fly? I can drive up there in 4-5 hours.

Alice Wrote the following on 12/02/2004 1:44 PM :
