Microsoft server crash nearly causes 800-plane pile-up
- This was actually caused by a failure to follow procedure, but I like the
statement: "The servers are timed to shut down after 49.7 days of use in order to prevent a data overload."
More realistically, you have to reboot Microsoft servers every once in a while
or memory leaks will eventually cause them to lock up (from my own experience,
YMMV). It seems like an operating system (could also be the software...) that
has flaws like this should not be used for mission critical applications.
