Ever have one of those days that nothing seems to go right?

This morning I was jarred awake by a call from the consulting company I used to work for.

"Hey, I submitted your resume to X job"

"Why did you do that without asking me? I have another group handling my relations with that company!"

"Oops, sorry!"

"Look, I don't work for you guys, you can't submit my resume without my consent, you probably just lost me a job!"

Nice of them to attempt to help me out, but that's just fucking unprofessional. If you are a consultant, you probably know what I'm talking about. If a large company gets more than one of the same resume from different companies, they'll just toss it out. My old company is still using my resume without my permission, I guess that pink slip I got didn't mean as much to them as it meant to me?

Then I had a lot of other things to deal with today, mostly involving money, which I'm very short on these days, being unemployed and all. On top of this shit, I have to try and deal with the person that administers the server that codewolf.com sits on. Usually he's a great guy (on the very few occasions that I've dealt with him, he's been very easy to deal with). However today was an exception... Here's a bastardized transcript:

"Hey, I still have no email access, how is that server move going?" (sent from my gmail account)

"It's done, you can access the server using the email I already sent you"

"Um, I have no email access on codewolf.com, how can I access the email you sent me?"

"Yup, I sent you an email about that"

"What part of, I don't have email access don't you understand?"

Just one of those days I guess. And for all the other people that have email accounts on codewolf.com, I'm sorry, I'm in the same situation. Please be patient.
