The World Today - NASA takes small step to next giant leap
- The United States space agency has revealed plans to build a deep space rocket that will take astronauts past the space station, past the moon and on to Mars. NASA estimates it will cost $10 billion before its ready to launch in 2017.But while the announcement is generating enormous enthusiasm within the space agency, NASA watchers are questioning whether the US government will stick with the program.
10 Billion, that's what? One week of war in Iraq? Peanuts I say.
