Company Commander Reprimanded Over Taliban Attack - The people who should be receiving reprimands are those who decided to locate that COP in a location that resembles the bottom of a cereal bowl. Even a "shave-tail" directly out of a service academy knows a position like that is basically indefensible unless you're willing to expend your men. The troops on the ground did a helluva job given the position they were forced to defend, and the Cpt deserves his Silver Star. Having buried way too many comrades I feel for the families and their loss; they are entitled to an explanation of how and why their loved ones died. However, their quest for information should not lead to what amounts to a witch-hunt by politicians (and historians) who have no real concept of battle conditions.
