Sarasota proposes old site for new ballpark | news-press.com | The News-Press - The Sarasota City Commission has decided on a location to build a spring-training ballpark for the Boston Red Sox. They voted to build a stadium at Payne Park, which had been the site of the spring home of the Red Sox in the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s.
