The Republican-American U.S. not as bad as depicted - There has been a subtle undercurrent throughout this two week Olympic run that has been basically ignored by NBC. The network shouldn't feel too bad, however, since the same notion is commonly downplayed by almost every politician and media pundit in the public sphere today. The theme? That our country is not such a bad place to live after all.And how do we come to this conclusion after watching the Olympic Games? Did you notice how many athletes from different countries live here, go to school here, train here ... basically want to do anything in their power to come here?

They want to come here because we throw huge amounts of money at athletes, God knows why we do, they really don't contribute a fucking thing to our Nation, but hey, if we need to import Chinese or Indians to become honorary Americans so we can get some more medals so we can claim what a great nation this is ... in the mean time children are dying of starvation in our own country, but hey who gives a shit about that, and millions go without education, but hey who gives a fuck, we got ourselves some gold medals to be proud off.

FUCK OFF WITH YOUR REPUBLICAN "ME FIRST" ATTITUDE

You can't eat medals. And next week you won't remember anyway.
