Whenever I have to take a plane, I make sure I have no clothing on me that contains metal, so no jeans, no watch, no jewelry etc. i carry my change in a pouch, a pen, cellphone and keys, All items easy to drop into the provided basket. Also make sure to put your passport in the basket too, Todays passports contain that stupid RFID chip and that is enough to set off the metal detectors.

(I think this little vid is a set up ... when I get to the security there is usually a ton of people before or behind me)
