Microsoft to stop selling Windows XP on Monday - Ha ha. Brilliant strategy. Give these people enough rope, and let them hang themselves.

Personally wouldn't touch VISTA w/a 50 foot pole. XP still somewhat buggy, but usable. Personally I prefer Win 2000 over XP. The entire 95 / 98 series completely sucked. 98-SE was M$ first half decent OS which I'd rate at best a Beta. Personally I hope OS-X and Linux gets 2000-compatibility, or more warez for those systems. I'd switch in a second. Really just hate this Windows monopoly.

Windows 2000 NT was pretty good, I remember using it at a previous job. You are right about the Windows monopoly. It's annoying because I would have bought a Mac a long time ago, but all my work, both in-house and telecommute, programs are Windows-based. They shouldn't even attempt a newer OS until the previous one has the wrinkles ironed out.
