Bear Stearns Former CEO Still Multi-Millionaire - As the multi-billion dollar investment firm Bear Stearns headed towards financial collapse -- and now a bailout through J.P. Morgan Chase brokered by the Federal Reserve -- the man at the helm of company, James Cayne, was the 29th highest paid CEO in the U.S. last year.
According to Forbes, Cayne received $38.31 million in total compensation in 2007 and $155.26 million over five years. Cayne served as the company's CEO for 15 years.
