» AMERICANISM: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly - (Rome) It is a paradox that the Americanism of which Americans are so proud is the source of the pandemic anti-Americanism throughout the world. Precisely the same Americanism of which Americans boast generates a worldwide antipathy toward them. And today, not just toward the US government, but in many places—to begin with in Iraq, as testified by blog writers from there—that antipathy, that hate, is directed against Americans in general.

I don't hate anybody, but it does piss me off to be judged solely based on what country I come from. Either get to know me or STFU. Same goes for anyone else.

Lots of Americans judge people solely based on what religion they have! Generalizations are a fact of life ... live with it.

Oh cjdusa, you don't hate them, you were told/taught to hate them.

CC NLI Wrote the following on 02/16/2008 03:22 AM :
I don't judge based on religion/nationality/etc. unless I know the person. Yes it is true that Americans are also guilty of generalizing.

Yes generalizations are a fact of life, a fact of life that needs to be done away with. Generalizing = stereotyping = stupid.
