Just a rehash of old rumors. Anyway, Sam Raimi (the director) said he won't use Venom because he doesn't like the character. He would rather use classic villains like Rhino or Mysterio.

I would not mind seeing any of latest rumoured villains myself. The villains I have favoured throughout reading the comics, watching the Spiderman 90's animated show and the new films are Doc Ock and Venom. Now I loved Spiderman 2. It contained so many great themes creating a Spiderman movie I find to be visually stunning. Besides the fact I think Thomas Hayden Church is a sensible choice for a villain whether it be Sandman or Venom not to mention Chameleon. Although that was confirmed as just a rumour . However it is difficult to determine what villain Topher Grace from That 70's show will be. I am puzzled myself to how he may possibley be portrayed as Venom even if he does build muscle. I not convienced that the latest news on the villains is true though. Although Topher Grace does not necessary need to look like muscle man Arnold Schwarzenegger. If Topher Grace is playing Eddie Brock not having a giant muscle build may be good to fool Peter Parker into believing his friend is not Venom. He may be able to pull it off in the end. One doubt I do have is that when I first took a look at Topher Grace's hair style I was curious who he could play Ned Leeds aka The Hobgoblin- I somewhat now agree. Only time will tell.
