Here ya' go Surfer, and anyone else who listens to me (I know there's a few
hundred of you, I do look at the logs :-)
Here's the latest codewolf radio cast. I hope it works, for some reason it
had some problems with winamp on my local PC but worked fine with other
programs. I'm a bit rushed tonight, let me know if it's listenable.
I talk about the current government, the state of freedom, wireless
networking, and a few other things.

Surfer Wrote the following on 04/28/2005 01:54 AM : Thanks. I'll have to listen to it in a bit. Apparently my hardware problem is not resolved and showed back up when I installed DX9c (also shows up when I install any drivers for the MB - including the Chipset drivers (Intel 856)). Went into a restart loop (but when I start up in safe mode, the problem goes away but so does DX9 - never heard of that one before). Error reporting says it's a device driver problem, a video card driver problem, and an unknown problem that they're researching. I'm even taking tomorrow off so I can get this taken care of if I can't figure out what the deal is tonight. I'll listen to it on my other puter as soon as I get a chance.
Suspected sources of problems:
Or some MB problem that doesn't show up on a hardware test (Hot CPU tester 4 Pro). I thought maybe it was just oo close to the monitor as I was getting drive corruption errors (who knew 3 feet wsa too close) but I moved the tower further away and that problem went away too after a complete fdisk)
I'm almost stumped on this one, so if you guys have any ideas... it'd be appreciated.
Surfer Wrote the following on 04/28/2005 12:55 AM : Hmmm. I'm about to download it now, but given NeoCon's past comments, it's probably good stuff. Thanks for the recommendation! I agree that it will be some good stuff!
NeoCon Wrote the following on 04/28/2005 1:13 PM : It might passed your bedtime. Maybe you should ask your parents before downloading, Surfer.
Surfer Wrote the following on 04/28/2005 1:31 PM : Wait, were you trying to insult me? You failed.
codewolf Wrote the following on 04/28/2005 8:08 PM : Surfer - Name the components - what MB, What Vid, etc. I'm sure Nils or I can come up with some potential solutions. First glance I'd just suspect the MB as the source of the problem, also what RAM configuration do you have in there?
You can AIM me tomorrow if you have the day off at codewolf1 (I can't check codewolf.com or my normal email but I do have AIM, go figure) and I'll hook you up with my network guy (Nils) he knows a hell of a lot more than I do about hardware troubles.
